First plane deck boards to a uniform thickness of 1/2". Next, cut multiple 1/2”x 1/2” strips. Optional: stain or paint individual pieces of pallet deck boards before gluing. Mix and match wood types, or keep it a uniform color. Cut a piece of 3/4" plywood to the size of the table you want. Glue the cut pieces down with good-quality wood glue to a piece of 3/4” plyboard, or put the kids to work on this step Trim the table with 1 1/4" wide strips, or use a commercially-made trim board. Miter the corners for a finished look. Cut tapered or straight legs, and attach to them with a leg mounting plate set. If you prefer, store-bought table legs are a stylish option.
