I used three pallets and several laminated boards to make this Tall Dark And Handsome Pallet Cabinet. The dimensions are height 155 cm, width 60 cm, and depth of 36 cm. I sanded All of the pallet boards using both rotary and reciprocating sanders until relatively smooth. Then I joined everything together using screws. Finally, I stained it a rich oak color and finished it with lacquer. This cabinet is very massive and robust, including reinforcements using metal corner brackets. I used magnets for the door closure mechanisms. I’m pretty satisfied with my project overall.
To build your own Tall Dark And Handsome Pallet Cabinet:
First, decide upon the dimensions you want. Secondly, cut four boards to the length you want, and use them to create your two sides. Next, join the side pieces with pallet boards across the back section. Install shelving at the intervals you want, using scraps to create shelf support brackets. Reinforce the corners with metal brackets if you wish. Frame out a front cabinet door. I mitered the corners, but it’s not necessarily needed. Install the door and the top of the cabinet, and then stain/finish to your desired needs.
