After several attempts of making these Pallet Wood Reusable Wine Gift Bags, I found a lightweight version. These gift bags work well and are sturdy enough to hold wine bottles.
Pallet Wood Reusable Wine Gift Bags:
First, obtain some pallet wood (or upcycle other wood). If you want it rustic, sand the rough spots and splinters off, and leave the wood with its character. Otherwise, sand or plane the wood smooth. Next, cut two pieces to form the tall sides in a shape of a wine bottle. Drill a large hole about 2″ from the top all the way through the wooden neck portion. Then, drill a smaller hole from the top of the bottle shape until you connect the hole with the larger opening. Cut smaller pieces to create the bottom and sides of the box and install with brad nails or screws and glue. Install sisal rope or other decorative, sturdy rope down through the two top holes that were drilled and tie knots in both ends to create a carrying handle. Finish as you see fit.
These Pallet gift bags are a great host or hostess gift idea! But if you like wine, don’t forget to make a Wine Rack too!
