Art can be creative AND functional. This Industrial Chic Pallet Wall Art Panel is proof. A gorgeous backdrop of hand-rubbed wood sets off a Steampunk lamp. Charming children’s handprints make it an interesting, yet homespun piece of artwork. Here is a wall decoration made of 25mm thick planks painted in acrylic. We dry rubbed them with a damp cloth to give an effect. The lamp is composed of pipes and a recovery filter all adorned with a beautiful vintage bulb and its socket.
Industrial Chic Pallet Wall Art Panel:
First, find a few pallet planks or dismantle a pallet. Next, sand them and then finish them to your liking. We applied acrylic paint and then rubbed most of the paint away with a damp cloth. This created gorgeous high- and low-light effects on the rustic finish. Next, we assembled them together, staggering their heights for interest, and attached them from the back with another panel across the top and bottom of the piece. This created an easy way to hang the piece and also clearance for the lamp cord. The pipe-fitting lamp creates that industrial-chic feel, and the little shelf allows us to showcase a bit of refinement with the glossy apples and the second lamp.
Industrial Chic Pallet Wall Art Panel – a family affair:
To make it unique for our family, the kids helped by making little hand-prints that we attached to the art panel. This Industrial Chic Pallet Wall Art Panel is a project the whole family can be proud of.
