My son gave me a bunch of old 2×8″ boards from the bottom of his landscaping trailer, and I had a bunch of weathered pallets. But what to do with them? I turned the scrap wood into a Pallet Fish Tank Stand.
Pallet wood is durable; perfect for this Pallet Fish Tank Stand!
I ripped down the 2x8s to 2×4 for the framing. Lined the sides with pallet boards and made doors from pallet deck boards. Due to the width of the tank, I used old privacy fence boards for the hood. Luckily, I remembered some decorative knots from my Navy days and attached them to the top. I finished this tank stand with three coats of polyurethane inside and out. I think my project looks like old dock boards!
