I made this Pallet Deck/Lounge Area after we had a lathe delivered at work. The lathe came with a large 12′ X 4′ wooden container that was going to be thrown away! I reclaimed six 4×8″ and 3×3″ boards from the container, plus other odds and ends.
Assembling the Pallet Deck/Lounge Area:
I cut the 4×8″ boards into eight-foot lengths and bolted them together, recycling the original container hardware. When I finished the frame, I clad it with deck boards from approximately ten pallets. The only expense was for a ripping bar to remove the nails and separate the timber. It cost £7. I already had the green paint, so this whole project was £7. We turned trash into a peaceful oasis in our backyard.
