I made this Wishing Well Pallet Flower Planter entirely from pallet wood. The project took a couple of days with extra hours, but the end result is quite satisfying.  I have designed it to be a 3.5 ft wide by two ft long flower planter. Additionally, it can support a hanging basket over the main planter area.

Wishing Well Pallet Flower Planter:

First, I framed out a simple box. I didn’t want the planter to be as deep as the design, so I built an inner shelf to keep it shallow and easy to change out pots of annuals if we wanted. Next, I clad the outside with deck boards and used more to trim along the bottom to clean up the edges. I also trimmed out the top with more deck boards to create a ledge.

Wishing Well Pallet Flower Planter – Roof & Finishing Touches:

For the canopy, I used more deck boards for the supports and mounted them in an “X” shape. The roofline is a simple pitched roof design that I then covered with more deck boards. I haven’t decided if I want to paint it, stain it, or just seal it and leave it natural. Finally, I added a piece of leftover dowel rod and just set it in the crook of the x-shaped supports to hold another hanging plant basket.
