With a 12″ by 12″ top and a 10″ by 10″ base, this simple and rustic planter is a great addition for any farmhouse feel. The four walls are cut with 45-degree angles to make a seamless joint and then are cut on a 10-degree angle to cause it to slant outwards. It is nailed to the square base and then reinforced by being nailed at the top from one wall to another.
The glue was also used on all joints as well. All edges were then sanded for a clean finished look. The entire thing was sealed with polyurethane to seal it for longevity with the damp soil sitting on it.
