For this Little Apple Barn Kid’s Pallet Bench I used only one large commercial pallet. This type of pallet looks like two pallets that have been nailed together with 2×4″ boards for extra strength to load heavy equipment onto for transportation.
My Little Apple Barn Kid’s Pallet Bench:
I cut this into four sections and used the first section for the bench. The second part was installed as the back of the bench. I used the last two sections to create the roof. The large pallet had 2×4’s on it to provide extra strength to the original pallet. I removed these and used them to make the roof and seating supports. Next, I used a jigsaw to cut out the basket shape and tiny apples out of scrap wood I had lying around. Additionally, I used a few extra pallet deck boards I had to make the picket fence armrests for the bench. I already had paint from previous projects. However, I but did have to buy screws and extra sandpaper.
My Little Apple Barn Kid’s Pallet Bench – final thoughts:
I completed this project in a day except for painting. I had to paint larger portions of the bench first and then let it dry before I could paint characters on the fence and roof. The little tike that received this was elated with the finished project. Nothing better than a project made with joy and love! <3
Amazingly beautiful
