I made this Petite Pallet Planter using 12 pallet stringer boards. I lined the interior of the planter with a folded-over tarp. The outside was coated with linseed oil to protect it from the weather.

Why do you line it with a tarp?

Most pallet planters that are lined are done so to retain the dirt from washing out through the imperfections and small gaps between the boards. Some are lined to create self-watering planters as well. :D
