Have fun with different finishes and make a Chalk-Paint Two-Person Pallet Bench! Gentle sanding after painting creates a weathered, aged look. Don’t be afraid to mix colors, either.
Imagine watching the sunset with your special someone while relaxing in this Two-Person Pallet Bench!
First, I made the legs using the 2×4″ pallet stringers. The remainder of the project was made using pallet deck boards. I secured the legs to the seat frame using 4″ carriage bolts. Then I attached the seat boards using a pneumatic staple gun and 2″ staples. For longevity, I may go back and secure the seat boards using stainless screws. I sanded everything with an orbital sander and 60-grit sandpaper. We painted the bench with homemade chalk paint. Next, we sanded the chalk paint lightly by hand after the paint dried. I coated the project with two layers of a UV-resistant spar varnish for weather protection.
