Hi, Heather the admin. assistant here. I’ve made several pallet projects, and the weight can be influenced by the type of wood you use. Pine is definitely a lot lighter than oak or poplar. And the positive of a durable headboard is that it’ll survive moving, rearranging the room, etc. I’ve made the mistake of using a lot of poplar/oak in projects and those were indeed extremely heavy. I take that into consideration when choosing from my wood pile. :D

Thanks for the idea, I used pallets from work and built this for my son’s full sized bed and he loves it. I had a little bit of time involved in figuring out the dimensions and how all the different size pallet boards went together, but it was well worth the time for the results.

I love the bed and other things that you can make out of pallets.the ideas just keep coming.i’ll b doing some real couch,,beds and whatever else I can do.we r buying a house soon so new pallet furniture for the new house.thank u for the ideas.
