I made this table top out of pallet wood but used dimensional lumber to build a frame for it. I dropped out the center plank of the table and made a trough which I planted a succulent garden. I got the table legs from my friend Donnie at hairpinlegsforless.

  1. I love pallet projects and this one is giving me an idea for my family room. I had a glass table with chrome legs in it that sadly my kids broke. I once saw a tutorial for a hairpin table similar to this one but round on Pinterest. I think the one show here would rally work well as I have a pallet wall decor over my mantle and a wooden style chandelier in the room. You can see some pics here and get the tutorial for the wall decor here . Thanks for sharing and can’t wait to get started on this project so I can feature it too!

    1. Glad you found some inspiration here! We look forward to seeing your creation that upcycles those chrome legs into a new piece of art for your home! Please share lots of pictures! :-D Heather/admin. asst. @ 1001pallets.

  2. Beautiful, and a great idea. I envision the trough functioning in a lot of different ways and not only a planter. Nice combo of natural and industrial with the hair-pin legs.
