Pallet crafters love the idea of saving money, as well as creative use of space and supplies. Here’s a brilliant idea: a Kids Pallet Sandbox Picnic Table! I built this in about four hours and used two pallets.
How to build your own Kids Pallet Sandbox Picnic Table:
I kept this to a pretty simple and basic design. I made this table from pallet wood and scrap 2 x 4’s.
The angled cuts on the legs are 22°, but other than that, the dimensions of the table are pretty much up to what you need individually. I lined the sandbox portion to prevent the sand from seeping out between the boards. I built the lid so that it would be easy to move but still be functional.
My daughter loves this so far! I’m looking forward to seeing her enjoy it more (and joining in – sand is fun for everyone).
