Make good use of your upcycled wood and pallets – create your own version of a Homemade Pallet Bar!
First, I added some strength to the original pallet that forms the front frame. I simply added some supports on each side to frame out my structure. Next, I proceeded to cover the front using six lengths of treated pine decking. I didn’t want to use smaller reclaimed pieces because I wanted a certain look, and strength of long lengths of wood.
Next, I affixed the interior shelves. Fortunately for me, the structure of the pallet already had supports in place that I could attach my reclaimed boards to. I created a lip on the shelves to stop bottles or glasses falling into the spaces between the shelves. I have four shelves on the right-hand side of the bar, with the left-hand side left open for a bin. Additionally, I left an ample space to allow easy access to the bin or for storage of supplies.
Finally, I fixed the tongue and groove bar top. I finish-sanded everything and applied a coat of varnish to seal. Presto! A perfect piece of garden furniture fit for evening drinks or a family BBQ!
With a great outdoor bar like this, you only need a Pallet Bottle Cap Catcher!
