I built this 3 Pallet Bar for my daughter and added many photos on top that I attached with Mod Podge. I used a full pallet for the front and cut two pallets to the same size for the sides. I sanded the bar for hours and stained it when finished. I added a wine glass rack, colored lights for effect, and coated the top with three coats of epoxy.
Make a 3 Pallet Bar as a great gift for a family member or yourself!
I found three pieces of wood with attractive curves on the edges, and it gave the project a nice touch. Then I added a wood shelf on the inside for storage. Some finishing touches on the main bar: I first put a coat of pre-stain to prep the surface. I printed and cut out pictures, attaching using Mod Podge. When the adhesive was dry, I applied three coats of epoxy. Epoxy is fun to work with but be sure your surface is level, and you have plastic under your project. The bar top came out nice. Finally, I added colored lights and attached the two side pieces using bolts to the main bar so that it is easy to move.
I’m going to have to talk my son into helping me do this considering he’s a graphics designer for a beer company.
