I made this cute little Pallet Shelf/coat rack combo for my entryway. It measures 36″ wide x 6″ deep, and features red and white oak. The coat racks are made using fresh cherry branch stubs!
This Pallet Shelf fearlessly combines a bit of store-bought with various upcycled wood to create a cute and functional piece of home decor!
I found one corbel (shelf bracket) on clearance, so I purchased it and made a copy from a cutoff piece of wood I had lying around. I used a router to copy the details after cutting the general shape with a saw. Next, I upcycled the center decorative piece from an old coffee table edge that I liked. I attached pieces of a cherry branch with glue and screws to create coat hooks. Finally, I routered the sides of a pallet board and attached it to the top shelf. I installed mounting hooks on the back, and now this handy little coatrack is perfect in my entryway! I left this project unfinished, but it would look great with a stain applied or just sealed with polyurethane.
