We made this double wide wine rack for a wedding gift for my niece and her husband to be. It took about 10 hours to make from start to finish. The top of the wine rack has a wider, smoother board to serve as a shelf. Her wedding was rustic with homemade decorations incorporating burlap. After construction (by my husband) I sanded it all down and painted it with an ivory chalk paint. When that dried, I went over the paint with brown wax. The next day I buffed it with my husbands car buffer. I started by hand and got too tired, so I got creative and grabbed his buffer, and it worked pretty well! I had printed out a couple of sayings on burlap, edged it with lace and put one on each side. I also made a wine bottle bag out of burlap. It was a fun project and my niece loved it!
