I made this 2-Drawer Pallet Spice Rack from a combination of 2 pallets. I dismantled pallets and dried the wood out completely. First outside on windy, dry days, and then inside in my boiler cupboard for a few weeks. I did this process to prevent the wood from shrinking in the future.
This 2-Drawer Pallet Spice Rack is functional and attractive!
I kept the original pallet nail holes in the wood to add character but filled new screw holes with pine plugs. I hate using wood filler on pallet projects as it is usually always visible through staining. Then I glued all the joints and used Kreg pocket holes where I could. Finally, I waxed the project with a rustic pine finish after lots of sanding!
