These two Shabby-Chic Pallet Shelving Units are from 1 pallet. Both have a slightly different finish, but they were equally as fun to make!
Here’s how to have a bit of fun and get two Shabby-Chic Pallet Shelving Units from one pallet:
First, divide a pallet in half. You can split them equally, or unequally if you want different heights for different areas of your home. When you split the pallet, you can use an extra deck board to form a more stable bottom by adding a couple of extra pallet blocks. Trust me – you’ll have extra pallet blocks here and there when you work with pallets, haha!
Next, I sanded them both down, removing the rough, splintery bits. For the taller one, I painted it a bright white. For the shorter one, I used a whitewash stain. I capped both off with a wider lead deck board, staining them a rich medium tone to contrast with the white paint.
Finally, it was time to decorate my Shabby-Chic Pallet Shelving Units. I shouldn’t say “finally,” since this was a fast and fun project. Have some fun and be adventurous with pallets. You’re bound to come up with something fun to suit your tastes.
