Add handy and attractive storage in any room with my rustic pallet shelving project! Each shelf is two deck boards wide and custom sized for my desired wall. They are each braced with two cross pieces below. Use budget-friendly angle brackets and paint them to match the wall color.

First, I found a pallet that was in good shape. I cut the pallet apart at each of the blocks. Next, I cut pieces of deck boards to use for the cross-bracing and installed them with screws from the top. I removed the blocks and sanded everything well. Then I stained the pieces on all sides. Finally, I purchased off-the-shelf (or upcycled) angled brackets, painted them to match my walls and installed them with screws. Painting the brackets makes the project look like the shelves are floating!
