Remember those Fine Wine times with this functional and Stylish Wine Crate Storage TV Stand! We completed this project in two days! Additionally, the joints were reinforced with wood dowels and wood glue.
Stylish Wine Crate Storage TV Stand – The Horizontals:
To begin, I broke down four pallets and sanded the boards. Next, I framed out the base (floor) of the unit and provided cross-bracing for places to attach the pallet boards to. I reinforced the joints with wood glue. You may want to simply build three of these at once since you’ll need a bottom, middle, and top layer.
Stylish Wine Crate Storage TV Stand – The Verticals & Feet:
Then, I cut more boards down and glued two pieces together, and repeated this to create a total of six dividing walls to guide the wine crates. The dividing walls were cut and sized to allow approximately 1/4″ clearance side-to-side, and approximately 1/2″ clearance above the tops of the crates to allow access. The dividing boards were joined together and glued. Before the shelving unit gets too heavy, you may want to attach the feet. I cut pieces of 4×4″ post to create a sturdy, stable base.
Stylish Wine Crate Storage TV Stand – Putting it Together:
I secured the second layer and attached the next dividing walls. My goal was to create additional storage for audio/visual equipment, gaming equipment, etc., so size this any way you see fit. Next, I assembled the final layer, just like the first two layers and secured it to the project.
Stylish Wine Crate Storage TV Stand Finish:
I stained this a rich Kona color and left the wine crates in their natural form. To protect the project, I will apply a polyurethane sealant. We are very happy with our convenient and Stylish Wine Crate Storage TV Stand!
