I had an old easy longer three-piece leather sofa and chairs, but it got so damp in storage it became ruined. I hate throwing things away and saw a use for the mechanism; they gathered dust in my shop for three years until I got fed up of making Adirondack chairs and pick up an idea for their use.
I started by using the Adirondack seat shape and progressed from there. The backrest is essentially the seat mirrored. It took a while to get the workings right but eventually it all came good. The base is me being lazy and just boxing in as best as I could. I have built it so there are very few fixings showing, everything is glued, pinned and screwed from the reverse.
