I have an original Model B3 chair from Marcel Breuer, and I’ve decided to make a more affordable version – my Pallet “Wassily” Chair. The Wassily chair was originally designed in the 1920’s and was a modernist chair built with a newly-available product: seamless steel tubing that could be bent into interesting shapes.

Save thousands, and try my Pallet “Wassily” Chair:

First, I cut the leg boards to length. I copied the angle of the seat and transferred the measurements to the leg boards. I lap-joined the seat board supports to the leg boards. Next, I added the armrests before I added the backrest boards. The final step is to add the seat and seat back boards.

Later I’ll make a low bench and a side/coffee table soon to create a complete lounge set.
