The latest ‘Vogelhotel‘ (bird hotel) project in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, consists of seven parts and a total of 37 objects. I decided to use pallets to assemble them on and place them high. A ‘Vogelhotel‘ is an artificial biotope for birds, insect, bats and butterflies (and other harmless small animals) in a city environment. There are objects for nesting, nesting materials, food, and water. Almost all of the materials used in my projects, including the pallets, are found objects. Some of the used wood is from pallets.
