Create your own high-end rent district with an adorable Pallet Guitar Bird House like these! I came up with this design in my head one day and just built it as I went along. I’ve made a few more since and each one is a little different in its own way.
Fun and fanciful – make your own Pallet Guitar Bird House!
First, cut two pallet boards into two (or three) pieces each. Glue the pieces together to create a blank for the front and back panels. Clamp and let dry. Next, cut down more pallet boards into small strips to create the sides. Draw a guitar body shape on each of the glued up blanks, and cut out with a bandsaw or jigsaw. Cut a hole into the front piece to simulate an acoustic guitar. Attach the side pieces with nails or screws (a brad nail gun would make quick work of this), but cut one piece larger. Use two small hinges and install the larger piece to allow access for cleaning. Cut another board into a guitar neck and head shape. Next, install eye screws into the top to create the tuning nuts. Attach the neck to the front body. Cut another piece of wood to create a perch for the little birdies to enjoy your hard work. Stain or paint as you wish, but be sure to use bird-friendly products!
