Here’s how you can make your own Pallet Dog Bench and Shelter:
To start, I built the dog bench using pallet deck boards. I built a simple rectangle and covered it with deck boards to form the seat. Then I mounted four legs at each corner. Next, I installed two vertical boards for the seat back and mounted three boards to finish it. Finally, I painted it a bright blue and glued a photo of my pet. To protect the photo, I sealed it with varnish after I hand-painted the lettering.
Pallet Dog Bench and Shelter – part two:
My dog was very happy with the bench, but I wasn’t. I had to provide some shade! I partially buried one pallet for the floor and to support the bench. Next, I used four stringer boards for the vertical roof supports and buried them for stability. The roof was framed out with deck boards. I added some decorative fencing and used reed fencing to give the shelter a bit of a tropical feel. Even though the shelter isn’t waterproof, I still angled it just because it looked cute. This is definitely dog-approved!
