I used two slats for each section of these three racks. I cut through the pallet support wood with a jig saw. The racks are sanded, stained, and clear coated with a satin PolyAcrylic. I drilled holes at a slight angle about 2 inches apart, and used wooden dowels I already had, cut into about 5 inch lengths. I then attached the racks to studs, under the dry wall for added strength. My son just bought a house, so his first garage needed help organizing his gardening tools.
Great idea! Simple and to the point – and looks like it’s highly functional! You’ve inspired me! :-D
