We made this Industrial-Style Coffee Table for a customer following plans provided by an interior architect. The goal was to have a “raw” look, but neat and clean appearance.
Hide the screws, fill in the gaps, and sand the Industrial-Style Coffee Table down. Then, all you need is a set of casters!
In this case no planing or gluing, and no glued laminate. We sawed, used screws, and sanded the piece. We built the table so that no screws would be visible. This idea is a different project from my usual work and was surprisingly easy. I completed this project in about three hours and used three pallets. Ceci est une table de type “industrielle” réalisée pour un client suivant des plans fournis par un bureau d’architecte d’intérieur. Le but était d’avoir un résultat “brut” mais soigné. Dans ce cas ci pas de rabotage ni de dégauchissage, pas de plateau en lamellé collé. Uniquement des découpes et du vissage et un peu de ponçage. Le seul challenge technique a été de m’arranger pour qu’on ne voit aucune vis. Ce projet change de mon travail habituel et a été assez agréable de part de la facilité technique et l’exécution aisée. Pas de produit de finition, un travail brut qui m’a pris plus ou moins 3h.
