This Chevron Design Pallet Coffee Table has a storage shelf and eye-catching simplicity. The rustic finish adds to the charm and makes you want to touch the surfaces to feel the wood’s history.
Chevron Design Pallet Coffee Table:
The dimensions of the table are: 40″ x 25″ x 17″. I cut the pallets used for the top at 45° angle to create the chevron shape.
I added a bottom shelf after looking at it and deciding it needed something to balance the top out. This was a pretty simple job, and it’s fun to modify a design as you go! First, I cut pallet stringers into four legs and cut two more pieces to serve as low braces across the bottom of the legs. Next, I created a frame to install the table top to and mounted it to the table legs. I cut and fit the table top pieces, cutting them at a 45-degree angle to create a chevron shape. The last pieces were just scraps from the other boards. I secured everything with screws after pre-drilling.
Chevron Design Pallet Coffee Table – Finish:
Finally, I framed it out with more deck boards, cutting them a little short and angling the ends for a different kind of rustic feel. Everything was sanded smooth, and then I evaluated my project and thought it was lacking, so I added a lower shelf. I applied a stain to the table top boards, rubbing most of it off as I went, and then sealed the piece.
Gonna try to make a table take one
nice work love it
