After feeling inspired by many Instagram users, I gave pallet art ago. I assembled this Chalk Paint Pallet Wall Art in about six hours, but it would be faster if you had a design planned out first. It is a great project to do, and you can be as creative as you want with it.
How I made this Chalk Paint Pallet Wall Art:
I began the project by using an 18mm OSB board from a reclamation wood yard as the backing board. I used pallet wood for the pattern. I sketched out a really rough pattern and copied this onto the board.
I then chose my colors, which are chalk paints and a stain, and treated the different lengths of wood. I sketched out a really rough pattern and copied this onto the board.
The prices are glued and nailed down. It definitely takes longer without a plan but it roughly took half a day to design, paint and make this item. This was a fun project, and I hope this inspires you to make your own piece of artwork.
I gotta say this is stunning! I wish I had thought of that when I created my pallet wall decor for my bedroom. I still rally like the one I have as I added gold deer antlers to it. You can see it here: https://the-wardrobe-stylist.com/2016/07/05/home-decor-tips-designer-look-less/.
