Want to boost up your sound but don’t want to pay an arm and a leg for what is basically a box? Build your own Pallet Bluetooth Speaker Box and get a great sound – and price!

How to build your own Pallet Bluetooth Speaker Box – Find the supplies and be creative!

I made this speaker box after seeing a video on YouTube by “Darbin Orvar” in which a Bluetooth speaker was built from wood. However, I wanted to make one in my own upcycling fashion! First, I reclaimed the speakers from an old truck destined for the junkyard. Next, I harvested the cables from a set of loudspeakers no longer working and pallet wood. The power comes from an old telephone. There was only the card left. I purchased the card on Amazon.

For the construction, I used the “KISS” method – “keep it super-simple”! I cut a pallet board into four pieces to make the frame. I cut two other board pieces to make the front and back panels. In order to avoid unnecessary use of nails or screws, the assembly was carried out only with glue. I cut a groove along the edges of the frame so that the front and rear faces can be slid in (see image below). Then I made the speaker holes with a jigsaw. I used a router to roll over the corners and edges.

Ready to rock your garage or man cave?

I stained the outlining frame in black, and left the front, back and sides natural. The feet come from a plank of paneling intersected and sanded. If I had to redo, I would plane the edges of the box to have something finer and less massive. Whatever happens, I have a pretty Bluetooth speaker for less than 14 euros for my workshop.

Read: Common wood joints you should know
