Pallet Garden Chair Pair / 2 Fauteuils De Jardins En Palettes

This Pallet Garden Chair Pair was made in a summer afternoon two years ago. I was inspired when my companion pointed out to me that there was no furniture worthy of the name to sit down. We started looking for pallet chair plans. We had to find easy projects, since we only had a radial miter saw, a jigsaw and a screwdriver.

Pallet Garden Chair Pair:

We started by making the two front pillars of the seats. We installed the boards of the seat onto the rafters with screws and then hooked the rafters to the front pillars. Next, we assembled the backrest, picked the tilt/angle, and placed behind the rafters to retain it. Then, we placed the armrests. After a slight sanding, a transparent stain was applied to the wood. It took us more or less 2.5 hrs per chair. We sometimes place cushions on for comfort. It is now three years that they are out all year and they still hold well. Two and a half hours well spent for many pleasant summer evenings.

Les fauteuils de jardins ont été fait en une après midi d’été il y a deux ans, lorsque ma compagne m’a fait remarquer qu’on avait pas de mobilier digne de ce nom pour s’assoir. Nous avons donc été chercher pour chaque fauteuil, 2 chevrons de palettes et 3 palettes.

Comme outils nous avons utilisé une scie a onglet radiale, une scie sauteuse et une visseuse.

Nous avons commencé par faire les deux montants avant du sieges, vissés les planches de l’assise sur les chevrons et ensuite accroché les chevrons aux montants avant. nous avons ensuite construit le dossier, choisis l’inclinaison, et placé des chevrons derriere pour le retenir et ensuite placé les accoudoirs.

Après un léger coup de ponceuse, une lasure transparente a été appliqué sur le bois.

Cela nous a pris plus ou moins 2h30 par fauteuil.

Il nous arrive de placer des coussins dessus pour plus de confort. Cela fait maintenant 3 ans qu’ils sont dehors toute l’année et ils tiennent encore bien. 2h30 bien rentabilisé lors de nombreuses soirées d’été.
