This Sturdy Pallet Coffee Table has rustic charm with elegant finish work. It also has additional storage shelving beneath. Mitering joints can be challenging, especially with an old, cheap chopsaw, but you develop skills.
Sturdy Pallet Coffee Table basics:
I recycled a 4x4" post and cut it into four legs. Next, I used deck boards to stabilize and frame out the legs into a table support. I cut and sanded more deck boards and installed them onto the frame, and trimmed them out with thin strips I cut from more deck boards. I cut the trim boards at miters to make the table look a little more finished. Next, I stabilized the lower portion of the legs with more thin strips of deck boards, and created an airy shelf by using more of those thin strips. Finally, I did some gentle sanding to give the piece a slightly distressed look. To finish, it'll be coated with a UV-protecting polyurethane.
