I searched for boards that looked old and rustic, attempting to make a piece that looks like an antique. I had to rip the inserts for the tabletop. When lifted, there is a plastic tub to hold potting soil.

This potting table is 40″ long, and 24″ deep, the legs are 36″ high. These were the lengths of the boards I was able to salvage from the pallets.

I ripped a bunch of pallet boards to 1-1/2 inches and glued them on end to make the top inserts. They are removable and there is a plastic drywall tub below to hold potting soil, and it can be removed and emptied easily. It was constructed with trim screws and glue.

I used my table saw to make the dados for the window grilles. The inserts are stained with tea. Everything else is natural.
