I needed to do something a bit different to complement the other shop fittings I had made from pallet wood at my son’s new premises. Over the counter, he wanted to hang two chrome shades. I started off by fixing a section of pallet wood to the roof, the I made a simple box around it that was left open at the back so that the connections could be done. The back was closed off with a panel that can be removed for maintenance and adjustments. Polished metal straps from scaffold boards were added for effect. The bulbs not shown are the old fashioned Edison style.
