I made this Pallet Pirates Chest using softwood pallets. I used scrap pieces of rope for the handles. You can upcycle a handle or purchase one. Then I used a nice dark, oil-rubbed bronze-tone handle. There’s a small chain attached to the inside to prevent the lid from dropping open. Additionally, I used three hinges for the lid.

Stash yer gold in this light, bright Pallet Pirates Chest!

Perfect for a kid’s toy chest (use safety hinges or a lid lift assist shock to prevent pinching little fingers). Or, use it for blankets and winter wear, or other hobby crafts! Have fun and let the kids decorate the chest with their adorable artwork! Then, seal it with a clear coat to preserve it!
