I wanted something different but wanted to stay within a reasonable budget, so I made this Moroccan-Inspired Pallet Coffee Table. I did have to take two trips to the hardware store to complete this project, though.
Moroccan-Inspired Pallet Coffee Table – Supplies needed:
- 1 EPAL pallet, 120 x 80cm
- 8g screws
- brass nails
- plywood
- 2×4 boards
- construction adhesive
- black water-based stain, maple stain, and varnish
- Six casters (locking optional)
- Tile for the table top
Moroccan-Inspired Pallet Coffee Table:
First, sand the pallet down and remove the rough edges. Next, I added two 2×4″ boards, the length of the pallet and installed them to the bottom stringer boards. Then I added another 1×2″ board to both sides, mounted them with brass nails and installed three casters per side. I used plywood to create a level surface and added more trim boards around the table edge. I used construction adhesive to apply tiles to the top surface of the table after staining it with various colors to create a rich, aged look. Finally, I added two pieces of rope at either end as pull handles.
Great idea! Now check out this Pallet Oratory too!
