We took apart 7 Pallets, sand them down and treated it with TIMBERLINE color dip clear. Then after treatment we proceeded to paint it white with Acrylic PVA, once that was done we started the building of the King size pallet bed headboard 1600mm high x 1900mm wide the board itself is 900mm wide and the feet 700mm.
We drilled some holes in the headboard where the head area would be and went ahead and covered two pieces of chipboard with a thin layer of foam and material. To hold the material in place, we used our Stanley nail gun. (remember to drill those holes in the chipboard as well and put bolts and nuts in there. This is to fasten the upholstery part to the headboard.
Once this was done, we added the steel brackets to the board, and then the chipboard with the upholstery was fastened. And there you go, just loving his look. A bit of the farm right back here in my bedroom. And what makes this an awesome idea is the fact that you can remove the upholstery and change the colour as you please.
