Cool Combo Pallet Outdoor Couch End Table Unit

From 6 pallets comes this interesting and unique Pallet Outdoor Couch End Table Unit. I designed this couch unit to have a built-in end table and storage area. My goal was to create a light and airy version of the numerous pallet couches out there.

My Pallet Outdoor Couch End Table Unit:

I started with two complete pallets as the bench seat. I shortened them for seating comfort and joined them together side-by-side. Next, I removed the upper lead board on the front of both pallets. Then, I replaced those removed boards with two longer deck boards. Next, I built the frame to support the couch. I used stringer boards for the legs and attached them to the sides and center of the bench seat. I created some cross-bracing by installing more stringer boards, cutting them at a 45-degree angle. The angled boards were installed into the corner created by the legs and bottom of the seat bench.

My Pallet Outdoor Couch End Table Unit Back Rest & End Table:

First, I removed one side of deck boards from two pallets. I cut the pallets down a bit to the height I liked and mounted the pallets together to create a solid backrest. Next, I installed the backrest onto the seat and secured it well. I used plywood to create the sides of the end table, and cut it to the height I wanted. Next, I used pallet boards for the top and bottom of the box and secured it with screws. I used more deck boards to create the foot of the end table, and cross-braced it in the back with more deck boards. Additionally, the cross-bracing helped create a way to mount the end table. I haven’t decided if I want to paint, stain, or just seal the project yet, but proud of the style of this couch set.
