We made this Elegant Pallet Desk for our daughter in law only using pallet wood. The angle iron legs give the piece a light, clean look with plenty of strength. It features two drawers and two storage shelves beneath the smooth surface.

The dimensions are 42″ wide x 22″ deep x 32″ high. It has two drawers that are 10″ wide x 22″ long x 5″ deep, with an open middle section that’s 20″ x 22″. There are two shelves on the left side they are 10″ x 22″. All the pieces were cut and sanded, and I planed some pieces down smooth. I attached the pieces using a plate joiner and biscuits. The basic structure was a piece of a pallet with both the top and bottom decks. We filled in the gaps and divided off sections to form the drawer slide area. I joined the desk together on three sides.
Making the shelves and drawers for this Elegant Pallet Desk
Additionally, I plate-joined the shelves together for strength and durability. I made the drawers using more pallet deck boards. I assembled everything together using drywall screws unless otherwise specified. The metal legs were made from 1 1/2″ angle iron and attached using lag screws. I installed scrap pieces of wood on the legs to create feet that will protect floors. It was stained with danish oil and sealed with 3-5 coats of polyurethane. This project took a lot of time and woodworking experience, but it turned out great. Sadie always supervises our work and ensures we build our projects correctly.
