My daughter and I built this Pallet Dorm Bookshelf, and we think it turned out pretty well. It was her first pallet project, and I’m proud of her!

First, we dismantled a couple pallets and cut them to the lengths we needed. Next, sanded the boards down so that they wouldn’t be splintered, but remained rustic. We stained them with three different stains. While they dried, we used 1×4″ boards to create a “frame” that secures the back of the bookcase. We screwed the shelf supports to the back of the bookcase. We fished by attaching the sides.
