  • personal protective equipment (safety goggles, gloves, etc.)
  • five pallets
  • three 2″×6″×16″ boards
  • one 2″×6″×8″ board
  • one sheet of 3/4″ plywood
  • one box of 1″ finish nails
  • one box of 3″ finish nails
  • thirty 3/4″ screws
  • palm sander
  • router
  • nail gun
  • hammer
  • drill
  • pliers
  • circular saw
  • wood glue
  • sandpaper

This pallet bar features a herringbone pattern on the sides and top of the bar itself.

The bar looks great! Did you have to use a planer to get the bar top boards perfectly level, or did you just get lucky and had enough flat pieces to make it work? So many pallet boards are cupped or not perfectly straight – so I’m curious how you got them all to fit so well?
