I made this Shoshoban-Style Pallet Wood Entertainment Unit robust enough to hold up to a 60″ flat screen TV. I burned the wood like the Japanese-style Shoshoban technique and sealed with a semi-gloss Varathane. Finally, I left the doors a natural tone for contrast.
This sturdy and attractive Shoshoban-Style Pallet Wood Entertainment Unit will hold a large flat-screen TV!
I made this project using hardwood pallets. First, I sanded the wood and burned it like the Japanese style Shoshoban technique. I then sealed with a semi-gloss Varathane. The main uprights and crosspieces were notched and recessed. Next, I glued and screwed using brass or brass-toned screws for contrast and to give a solid frame to hold up to a 60″ flat screen tv. Finally, I made the doors and left them natural-colored, and sealed them too.
Check out this faux fireplace/mantlepiece that will also function as a TV Stand. Turn that old set of rabbit ears into a cool TV Antenna Lamp!
