A lady from our church asked me to make her some large Pallet Wood Planter Boxes for her patio. She wanted to plant flowers on them and place them on her patio. They were easy to build and consisted entirely of pallet wood. A person could make them to any size they needed to suit their needs.
Pallet Wood Planter Boxes for your front porch, patio, or another garden area. If you make large planter boxes, consider putting them on wheels!
I built a simple frame and then attached the deck boards that I cut to the proper length. Since they will be outside, I used deck screws to fasten the boards together, and after I had completed them, I applied two coats of outdoor polyurethane. To construct the pallets I used my cordless drill, and my miter saw. A simple design, and except for the cost of the screws, free of cost. If you tried to buy similar ones at the home and garden centers, you'd pay a LOT. Plus, you're upcycling!
You can line it, or just use it to place pre-potted flowers into. The options are just about endless!
