FLAB Pallet Crafters only use and recommend EPAL pallets, like in this pretty Divisoria Pallet Planter. We used three pallets, but pressure washed them with hot water and vinegar first.

Next, we sanded the wood using a disc grinder 100-grain sandpaper. This step further cleans the wood. The first pallet did not need to be cut. We’ll designate this one as pallet A. The next one, Pallet B, we cut to 47.5cm and used it as the base. I mounted pallet A into pallet B and secured with outdoor wood screws. We have in the vertical pallets A taking the long side of 120 cm horizontally above the pallet B will fix it with three 12 cm wood screws into the pallet blocks.

We fully dismantled pallet C and used the boards to make the planter box. We cut one board to 14.5 cm and used it as the support base. The bottom of the box and sides are cut to 10cm wide each, and a bit wider than the stand. I needed two pieces per side and on each end. Next, we butt-joined everything and attached it all together with wood screws. Then we bent some flat iron, cut and ground the edges with an angle grinder, and welded some decorative S-shaped pieces as stand braces. I installed the braces onto the back side of the stand, but you could add them on both sides as both decoration and structural integrity.
How to finish your Picture Perfect Divisoria Pallet Planter:
I recommend using a water-based varnish that you can apply with a brush or spray, choosing the color and technique type (such as finished, rustic, or shabby-chic). You can also paint it, but fully encapsulate all the sides to protect it from water and the elements. Be sure to use a good-quality outdoor paint. Several of these planters would make a beautiful “fence” to your patio or deck area, too!

Premesso che il FLAB consiglia l’utilizzo di soli pallets EPAL per la loro resistenza al tempo. Useremo tre pallets che andremo a lavare con l’aceto oppure l’idropulitrice con acqua calda a 90 gradi. Carteggiamo usando la smerigliatrice con disco grana 100 d’appertutto nel piano e negli spigoli, questo per pulire ulteriormente il legno. Uno lo teniamo senza tagliare nulla ( lo chiamiamo pallets A).. lo fisseremo in posizione verticale….. il secondo che utilizzeremo per fare la base ( pallets B) dobbiamo tagliarlo a 47,5 cm… in pratica a filo del secondo zoccolo ( non potete sbagliare).

Mettiamo in verticale il pallets A tenendo il lato lungo di 120 cm in orizzontale sopra il pallet B lo fisseremo con tre viti da legno da 12 cm. Bloccata la parete sulla base prepariamo la cassetta per i vasi: Smontiamo completamente il terzo pallet …. che poi andremo ad usare in questo modo: Una tavola da 14,5 cm la useremo in piano come base, le tavole da 10 cm servono per le pareti laterali. Due per parte sono sufficienti. Usiamo delle tavolette per unire le due tavole e viti per completare la cassetta. Ci rimane di tagliare i due terminali 14,5 x 20 cm e fissarli. Avremo la cassetta porta vaso pronta per essere fissata sopra il basamento.

Verniciatura: consiglio di utilizzare vernice all’acqua che potete dare a pennello o spruzzo scegliendo colore e tecnica tipo shabby o quello che piu’ vi piace. Se volete rendere ancora piu’ bella la vostra fioriera potete mettere dei reggimensole alla base fissate con viti. Potete costruirne diversi e metterli in fila.
