Pallet Bar Wall Rack Ideas – Party decor that’s good year-round!

I use small pallets or half of a pallet for the wall racks. First, sand the pallet so that it’s smooth to the touch. Use a palm sander (reasonable ones are available from Harbor Freight Tools) to smooth out the pallet to your liking. Next, I used a router for the cutouts for the wine glass stem holders.

**Editor’s note** The cutouts can also be made by using a large drill bit and a jigsaw. Drill a hole where you want the base of the notch to be, like the middle of the deck board. Next, simply cut out two straight lines and connect to the drill hole to make a “U” shape.

Then, install the notched board into your bar with wood glue and screws/nails, or upcycle nails you pulled out of the pallets!  Apply a stain of your choice, and seal with UV-resistant polyurethane or paint it! Handy tip: Remember to gap the wine glass holder notches with 2-inch pre-cut pallet for glasses to fit, or the bases of the glasses will hit (and possibly break if you’re not careful).
