I built my Pallet Star with only five pallet slats, added some holiday lighting to the front of it, and hung it from our eaves. This star is a great addition to our holiday decorating.
Pallet Star:
First, I collected five pallet deck boards. I laid them out in a star pattern to start. Then I cut the wood so each piece would lie flat. I wove the boards in around each other a bit and stapled each joint both front and back. I decided to install lights into the star, instead of having to hang them each year. So, I drilled holes the sizes of the lights I had and inserted them. All that remained was to hang the star up on our eaves. I used large nails and sturdy cord. Simple and quick.
This quick-and-easy star is great, but stars are good for more than one holiday. Check out this Star-n-stripes version!
