This clever 3-Drawer EPAL Pallet Bookshelf uses the space between the pallet blocks as shallow drawers and measures 120x120x30 cm. You only need two pallets to make one of these for yourself!
Our 3-Drawer EPAL Pallet Bookshelf- the frame:
First, remove the bottom deck boards from a pallet. Next, trim deck boards and install on each end of the pallet, and sandwich the pallet blocks to create the drawer supports. Repeat this step for all three sets of blocks as demonstrated in the photos below.
Our 3-Drawer EPAL Pallet Bookshelf – The drawers:
Cut two pieces to create the sides of the drawer, cutting it so that the drawer will be flush-mounted when closed. Next, cut the front and back pieces and butt-join them to the sides as shown in the photos. Then, cut some plywood or use more deck boards to create the bottoms of the drawers. Trim more wood down for the handles, and create any shape you wish. Mount them either flush or with spacers for easier hand-holds. Sand and finish to your liking!
