These Dual-Dish Pallet Dog Trays were made from 2 free pallet wood. The tray’s dimensions are 70 x 26 x 22 cm. The cut out holes depend on what bowls you have for the dogs, and they come in different sizes. Choose a bowl with slanted sides or a wide, sturdy rim. Cut the hole to fit the diameter with enough room to be able to lift them out relatively easy. Additionally, adjust the height of the feeder to fit the comfort level of your dog(s). :) The finish depends on what you prefer really… natural, varnish, oils or stains… the dog don’t really care.
Raised Dual-Dish Pallet Dog Trays:
First, I built the sides and added a reinforcing panel to the insides of the legs that also allows me a good place to attach the top and sides. Next, I added the top and side pieces, securing from the outside with a set of stainless screws for durability. Finally, I measured and cut the holes for the pet’s bowls. These had wide, sturdy rims, so I cut the holes just to the diameter of the top of the bowls. They work well and make it more comfortable for the dog to stand and eat.
Editor’s Note: Some pets are messy eaters (I know – I’ve got two Mastiffs in my house – and a husband too, haha) – or you have puppies that are in that chewing phase, consider finishes carefully. Be aware of finishes you use, and slop factor of the dogs being fed – some finishes can be more toxic than others. You can get pet-safe stains & from PureColor Sustainable Finishes, and other options can include Butcher’s block oils. Search for food-safe products if your pet has special health concerns or you’re worried about the best choices to use for finishes. Happy Palleting!

yes it’s very affordable :) and much less spilling food on the ground… you can make it as you want in all sizes and shapes but the idea remains the same.
